preRace is a simple and beautiful motivational app that allows fitness and racing fanatics to keep track of upcoming races.

preRace originated as a side project, where I sketched numerous logo concepts to capture the desired mood. This approach enabled rapid evolution and iteration of ideas.

I began to establish the core brand elements, with a significant emphasis on colour theory to define the character of the product.

As the branding journey unfolded, I delved into the realm of digital assets, aiming to create a visual identity with the versatility to work across various platforms.


I began the exploration of website design, intended to serve as a promotional platform for the app.

One of my challenges involved crafting a visually concise value proposition aimed at swiftly engaging and acquiring users through Instagram.

Before diving into app design, it was crucial to develop an empathy map to gain a deeper understanding of preRace's customer base.

In line with the users' overarching objectives, I initiated the creation of a design that drew inspiration from colour theory, shifts in intensity and hue to reflect the approaching race day.


preRace is now in development and will be available on Apple iOS summer 2022.

Final Thoughts
This project presented a significant challenge, demanding the full spectrum of my skills and even prompting the development of new ones along the way. Despite the tight turnaround of just under seven months, I am genuinely proud of the exceptional outcome. Notably, there were several unmentioned challenges, particularly in the realm of business strategy, which added complexity and depth to the project.
This is only the beginning. I have a wealth of fresh and exciting ideas to enhance the product in the future, so stay tuned for what lies ahead.
